📲 How to Enable Mobile Check-In for Your ClickBid Event
Mobile check-in makes it easy for your guests to tell you whether they're attending in person or bidding from home. It's especially helpful for hybrid events, so you can plan accordingly and manage your audience more efficiently.
✅ What is Mobile Check-In?
ClickBid’s Mobile Check-In feature allows bidders to check themselves in before or during your event. It’s ideal for:

Hybrid events (some guests attend in-person, others bid remotely)

Knowing who’s attending ahead of time

Simplifying event day operations
📌 Info: Mobile check-in does not send the welcome text automatically. You may still want to send a broadcast message to welcome guests.
⚙️ How to Enable Mobile Check-In

Go to Software Settings.

Click Auction Settings.

Select Bidder Settings.
- Find the section labeled Allow Mobile Check In

Enter the date and time when you'd like mobile check-in to become available

💡 Tip: Set this to open a day or two before your event so you can track early check-ins and plan accordingly.
This feature helps organizers understand who is attending in person and who is participating remotely.
The feature does not send the welcome text to bidders.
👥 What Happens When a Bidder Checks In?
As guests check in through their mobile devices, their selections trigger automatic tags in your bidder management system:

They must choose one of the following before continuing:

Selecting “In Person” adds a Checked In tag.

Selecting “Remote/Online Only” adds a remote tag.

⚠️ Warning: Bidders cannot proceed without selecting one of these options. This helps your team identify guest types and tailor communications.
