Creating individual tickets in ClickBid is quick and customizable. Use this step-by-step guide to set up tickets for your next event—whether it’s a gala, fundraiser, or raffle.
🛠️ Step-by-Step: Add an Individual Ticket
-
Go to Event Tickets in your ClickBid admin menu.
-
Click Tickets.
-
Select Modify Tickets.
-
Click + Add Individual Ticket.

📝 Customize Your Ticket
Fill out the fields for each ticket:
-
Ticket Name:
Add a clear name (e.g., Individual Ticket, Couples Ticket, Gala Entry).
➕ You can add multiple tickets by clicking + Add Individual Ticket again. -
Price:
Set the purchase price per ticket. -
Fair Market Value (FMV) (optional):
This amount appears on the purchaser's receipt.
Example: “FMV $75 per ticket” -
Tickets Per Purchase:
This determines how many individual tickets are included in a single ticket selection.
Example:-
Enter 1 for an individual ticket
-
Enter 2 for a couples ticket (because one purchase includes two people)
-
-
Maximum Number of Tickets That Can Be Purchased
This controls how many times that ticket type can be added to the cart in a single order. It affects the +/- buttons on the ticket purchase page.-
Example:
-
If you want someone to buy only one couples ticket, set this value to 1
-
On the ticket page, the buyer will only be able to add one couples ticket to their cart
- Important Note
Even though a couples ticket represents two tickets, setting the maximum to 1 means it can only be purchased once per order.
-
-
-
Quantity Available:
Set how many of this ticket type are available.-
Use 0 if availability is unlimited.
-
The system automatically prevents overselling.
-
💡Tip: You can also set an overall availability for your ticket page under Event Tickets > Ticket Page Settings > General Settings > Ticket Page Guest Limit.
-
Hide Availability?
Choose whether to show remaining tickets to buyers.-
If set to No, your page will display something like: (5 of 19 Available).
-
-
Mark as Sold Out?
There are two ways to mark tickets as sold out:-
Your availability limit is reached.
-
Manually switch Mark as Sold Out to Yes.
-
-
Sold Out Message (optional):
Enter a message that will appear when the ticket is sold out. -
Ticket Details:
Anything you write here will display beneath the ticket name on the ticketing page.
🚫 Prevent Overselling
To control when a ticket becomes unavailable:
-
Go to Event Tickets > Modify Tickets.
-
Select your ticket.
-
Under Quantity, enter your maximum availability.
-
Once that number is reached, ClickBid will auto-mark it as Sold Out.
⚠️ Warning: Don’t forget to set quantities correctly. Overselling can create confusion for guests at check-in!

🛑 Important: Don’t Rename or delete Tickets After Sales Begin
Once any purchase is made for a Ticket, Sponsorship, or Underwriting item:

Do not rename it.
Changing the name will break reporting and guest update links. - Do not delete a ticket after sales have been made. Instead set the ticket type to invisible so the reporting and guest records are displaying correctly.
