Your organization only pays the vendor **if the item sells**, so you can list more exciting items without upfront risk. To cover your costs, it’s recommended to set the **starting bid at or slightly above** the consignment value to ensure the first bid covers the payout, and potentially generates a profit. --- ### ➕ How to Add a Consignment Value to an Item You can enter a consignment value either during an item import or by editing an individual item in your admin. #### 1. Add via Item Import - Use the **Item Import Template** - Enter the **consignment value** in the designated column This is ideal for uploading multiple items at once, especially if working with several consignment partners. #### 2. Add Manually in Admin 1. Click **Items** from the left menu 2. Select **Manage Items** 3. Click on the **title** of the item you want to edit 4. Scroll down to the **Consignment Amount** field 5. Go to **Reports \> Consignment** 2.
