💸 Setting Up Recurring Donations in ClickBid

Recurring donations help your organization maintain consistent support year-round. With just a few clicks, you can enable this feature for donors and manage it easily within your admin.


🛠️ What is a Recurring Donation?

A Recurring Donation allows a donor to give on a regular schedule, monthly instead of one-time. This helps nonprofits build a sustainable fundraising model.

💡 Tip: Encourage donors to choose recurring options by highlighting their long-term impact on your mission.

 

⚙️ Enable Recurring Donations for a Donation Item

  1. Go to Items > Manage Items.

  2. Select the donation item you'd like to allow recurring donations for.

  3. Check the box labeled Allow Recurring Donations

     

                       

⚠️ Warning: Without this selected, your recurring donation option will not appear when adding a donation.

  1. Click Complete and Go Back.

  2. On the Manage Items page, you'll now see a “recurring” tag next to any donation items with recurring enabled.

💡To set up a recurring donation for donations/Text-to-Give:  go Donations/TTG tab>Settings> Recurring Donations set to Yes.

📂 View and Manage Recurring Donors

  1. Go to the Recurring Donors tab.

  2. View each donor’s history and recurring donation schedule.

  3. Admin contacts will receive a confirmation email after each processed recurring donation.

  4. If a donor cancels their recurring donation, the Admin Contact Email listed under
    Software Settings > Account Settings > Contact Information will be notified.

 

📬 Send Donor Login Link

  • In the Recurring Donors tab, click Send Login Link next to the donor's name.

 

💻 Donor Experience: Bidding Site Donation Page

  1. Donor selects a Donation Item during the auction.

  2. A popup appears asking to Donate Once or view Monthly Options.

 

 

📧 Donor Receipt & Profile Access

  • After each recurring donation, donors receive a receipt email with:

    • Donation details

    • A link to manage their donor profile


🔐 Setting Up a Donor Profile

  1. Donor clicks the link in their email receipt.

  2. A confirmation message appears prompting email verification.

Info: The verification link expires in 60 minutes.

  1. Once verified, the donor creates a password.

  2. They log in to manage their profile and donations.

Profile Tab

  • Contact Info – Update name, address, etc.

  • Login Info – Change username/password

  • Email Addresses – Add or remove email contacts

  • Phone Numbers – Manage associated phone numbers

    • Add/remove cards

    • See “Expiring Soon” or “Expired” tags

       

 

Manage Recurring Donations Tab

  • View upcoming donations

  • Update Details to:

    • Edit amount/date

    • Change card

    • Pause or cancel donation

  • View donation history and export reports
