🔀 How to Merging Duplicate Bidders
Sometimes two bidders end up with separate records, maybe they registered twice or used different emails. ClickBid allows you to easily merge these duplicate bidder profiles into one clean record, keeping your data accurate and your reporting tidy.
⚙️ How to Merge Two Bidders

Go to Bidders > Manage Bidders in your admin menu.

Check the boxes next to the two bidder records you want to merge.

When both are selected, a Merge button will appear, click it.

Review the bidder details and make any necessary changes.

If both bidders have credit cards on file, only the card from the bidder you choose to keep will be saved.

You’ll be asked to confirm which bidder number to keep.

We recommend keeping both email addresses and phone numbers when possible.

This ensures both individuals continue receiving outbid texts and email receipts.

Click Confirm Merge to finalize the action.

Your newly merged bidder will now appear in the list.
⚠️ Important Notes

Merges are permanent. Once confirmed, they cannot be undone.

Bidders are not notified when their records are merged.
If appropriate, you may want to personally notify the bidders.
Double-check all information before confirming the merge.

Let’s say a couple registers separately but bids together. You can merge their records, keep both phone numbers, and ensure they continue getting alerts without duplicate charges or confusion.
