➕ Adding Donation Items to Your Landing Page

You have two flexible ways to showcase donation items on your landing page, either through a content block or the top navigation Donate button. Both options make it easy for supporters to contribute with just a click.

🧩 Add a “Make a Donation” Content Block

To display donation options directly on your landing page:

  1. Go to Items > Manage Items and create your donation item(s).

  2. Enter items details

    1. When creating a donation item, you’ll be able to configure the following fields:

      • Item Name

      • Item Number: Automatically assigned, but can be edited or left as is

      • Status

        • Invisible: Not visible on the landing page or auction

        • Closed: Visible, but donations cannot be made

        • Active: Visible and accepting donations

      • Category (optional)

      • Availability: Choose whether all bidders can donate or only checked-in bidders (It's best to leave this to All Bidders)

      • Closing Time

      • Item Type: Donation
Enables options such as recurring donations, allowing checkout later, and displaying donor comments and activity

      • Pre-set Denominations
If no denominations are added, donors will see a single field to enter a custom amount

      • Projected Display Settings

      • Description: Explain what the donation will support

      • Image: Add an image to display with the donation item

      • Custom Questions: Include any additional questions for donors

  3. Click Add New Content Block.

    D 2
  4. Choose the content block type Make a Donation.

    D 3
  5. Select up to three donation items to display:

    D 4
  6.

    • If you select one item, it will display large and centered, similar to the Donate button at the top of your page.

      D 5

    • If you select three items, they will show as smaller cards, similar to the layout used on the auction page.

      D 6

Consider using the larger single-item layout if you want the donation option to really stand out on the page.

⚙️ Add a Online Donation link to your Navigation bar:

To link a donation item to the Donate button in your navigation bar:

  1. Go to Software Settings > Navigation.

  2. Make sure Show Donate Link? is toggled to Yes.

Once enabled:

  • This donation type will be used for the top-right Donate navigation button.

  • This is from the Donations/TTG area and not a Donation Item listed under Manage Items.

✅ Summary

Both methods let you feature donations effectively:

  • Use the content block for high visual impact on your landing page.

  • Use the navigation button for always-accessible giving.
